I took a bit of a break this week from blogging, mainly because I needed a break in my crazy life, but also because my mind has been super preoccupied with thinking about my passions and my life path. Of course Sundays are the best days to think back over the week, so here I am!
Anyway, one of the things I have been trying to focus on is Mish Mash Flowers – my little at home business adventure. I have been making these fruit, veggie/cheese flower bouquets for years now, mainly for friends and family. But the more I have been making them, the more I realize I have found a passion. I’m genuinly excited to make these and I LOVE the look on people’s faces when I hand them over. L-O-V-E! So, I am working on getting more active in promoting my little business adventure, preparing a price list, making more of my bouquets and I hoping to get this going;)
I thought I would share a few pictures with you of my work. You can also follow my Instagram page here: Mish Mash Flowers
I have always liked radishes and knew of their nutritional benefits. Having said that, I could eat one or two of these red beauties and be done, you know? I mean, how many radishes can a person eat in one sitting? 😉
I recently heard of the exceptional benefits of radishes when it comes to kidney health and dissolving kidney stones. And since I need help in that department (lucky me!), I thought, I must increase my intake!
I started to experiment with juicing radishes and guess what? I can drink a whole bunch in one sitting;) Ha! If you’re looking for a nutrition packed juice, this one is a definite option for you!
- 1 bunch radish (approx. 10)
- 1 lemon
- 1 apple (any apple will do, but the sweeter the better!)
Farmers’ Market … just thinking about it makes me feel SO good! The smells, the colours, the food, the people, the atmosphere. Fantastic feeling!
I am super lucky to live around many farms where farmers have summer stands, smaller and larger markets, and of course our very own Hamilton Farmers’ Market – open all year round!
Wedding season is upon us, ladies! And we all know what that means – other than getting a fantastic dress (of course!), we just need to look GREAT! I mean, who doesn’t want to get all glammed up once in a while? Or every day! Why not;) Regardless of the occasion, we all want that sun-kissed summer skin, to go with that fantastic dress or any pretty outfit! I recently purchased the L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion and it’s time to give it a review!
The weather has been SO hot around here lately! Not complaining, not complaining! But, man it has been HOT! So what’s a girl to do? Make some yummy juice, of course;) Have to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
This Mango Juice Delight recipe is the easiest, quickest way to make a yummy juice for you and the family. Your kids will love it AND you can easily serve it to guests in pretty wine glasses, or just treat yourself!
- 4-5 ripe mangoes
- coconut water
I love Sundays….they always feel a bit more laid back, relaxed and simple.
This is the day I tend to think about the week that has been and the week to come.
I found this list on Pinterest and wanted to share with you.
The minute I saw the name ‘Loaded Pierogi‘, I thought: ” Yey! They spelled pierogi the right way! Gotta check this place out!”. And so I headed over with my lovely friend for a pierogi lunch. We both have Polish in us and we both know what good pierogi taste like. We decided to see if this place would satisfy our taste buds!
Cora Harrington, a Lingere Blogger, took to Twitter to explain her idea on what ‘thin privilege’ means to her. Her tweet has gone viral and has gotten many people talking. What exactly is this idea of thin privilege? In Harrington’s view, thin privilege is how you are perceived by society and treated accordingly. The very basic idea here is: if you’re thin, you don’t get looked down upon when eating pizza or ice cream in public; you don’t get looks on the airplane, and you can easily find clothing at any store of your choice.
