Keeping with last week’s coffee theme (Coffee is Life! How to Make a Café Bombón), I have decided to try another coffee recipe. This time – Vietnamese Iced Coffee or Cà Phê Sữa Đá.
Given that the weather has been absolutely beautiful and by that I mean – HOT, I think this recipe is right on time!
- 2 shots espresso
- 2 teaspoons condensed milk
- 4-6 ice cubes
- Pour condensed milk into a glass
- Add espresso
- Stir to mix milk and coffee
- Add ice
This method of making Vietnamese iced coffee uses espresso, which many Vietnamese cafés often make. But, there are a number of other ways to make Cà Phê Sữa Đá. Cafe Du Monde grounds are often used, or restaurants will also grind their own coffee.
For brewing, a traditional method includes the use of Vietnamese coffee filters. You know I will need to try this traditional method! There is something super romantic about brewing each glass separately and watching it drip slowly! Stay tuned for future posts!
