Restaurant Review: Loaded Pierogi

The minute I saw the name ‘Loaded Pierogi‘, I thought: ” Yey! They spelled pierogi the right way! Gotta check this place out!”.  And so I headed over with my lovely friend for a pierogi lunch.  We both have Polish in us and we both know what good pierogi taste like.  We decided to see if this place would satisfy our taste buds!

The restaurant is small, very casual and super cozy.  Very friendly hostess, good looking menu – we felt good to begin with.  The bar seemed to be loaded with many varieties of vodka and beers.  We didn’t opt for alcoholic beverages, but it looks like you would have great choices there;)

Loaded Pierogi‘s plates start with traditional potato and onion pierogi, either boiled or fried.  They are then loaded with various untraditional toppings!  From BBQ Philly Cheese Steak to Sweet Apple & Caramel, your possibilies are endless!

We chose:

The Cabbage Patch Kid – $12

Mish Mash Lifestyle Blog - Loaded Pierogi - Sauerkraut Bacon

Bacon, Saurekraut & “Oh Yeah” Bacon – $14

We chose the half-half option, meaning half of our pierogi were boiled and half were fried.

We were pleasantly surprised!  Didn’t expect these pierogi to be this good!  Seriously!  We both thought that the boiled pierogi were the better choice, though.  Mental note for next time!  Also, the bacon, saurekraut option is really LOADED with bacon – just be aware of that;)

Overall, great pierogi, and I don’t say that very often.  In my opinion, only my mother makes great pierogi.  Ha!  I’m biased, yes I am;)

I will definitely be back to Loaded Pierogi and I urge you to try them too! 275 James Street North, Hamilton.
