How to Make Iced Green Tea

I’ve been sipping on iced green tea A LOT this summer.  I love a cup of green tea, but summer calls for something cold, so I’ve developed this recipe for those scortching hot days out there!

The recipe is super simple and makes a delicious AND super healthy drink!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green tea (loose leaves or sachets) – I use organic chai green tea
  • 2 tsp honey
  • lemon
  • mint

Directions

The recipes takes two steps: 1) make green tea ice   2) make iced green tea

Step One:

  • Brew 1 cup of water to approx. 80 degrees Celcius
  • Pour over green tea leaves, or 1 green tea sachet
  • Steep for about 4 minutes
  • Add 1 tsp honey and stir
  • Allow tea to cool off
  • Pour tea into an ice cube tray
  • Allow to freeze

Step Two:

  • Brew 1 cup of water to approx. 80 degrees Celcius
  • Pour over green tea leaves, or 1 green tea sachet (I use organic chai green tea)
  • Steep for about 4 minutes
  • Add 1 tsp honey and stir
  • Cool off
  • Add previously made ice cubes
  • Garnish with lemon and mint
